Eleven acting secretaries have been promoted to the rank of secretary. The public administration ministry issued a notice announcing their promotions on Sunday.
According to the rules, the officials were first made officers on special duty and then appointed to their previous posts by separate orders.
The newly promoted secretaries are Economic Relations Division Secretary Monowar Ahmed, Public Service Commission Secretary Siddiqa Khanam, Liberation War Affairs Secretary SM Arif-Ur-Rahman, Land Secretary Md Muksodur Rahman Patwary, Technical and Madrasah Education Division Secretary Munshi Shahabuddin Ahmed.
Apart from them, Acting Secretary of Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Division Abul Mansur Md Faizullah, Director General of the National Planning and Development Board Abul Kashem, Director General of the Bangladesh Employee Welfare Board Satyabrat Saha, Acting Secretary of Textile and Jute Ministry Mizanur Rahman, Bangladesh Tariff Commission Chairman Jyotirmoy Dutta, Rector of BCS Administration Academy Kazi Rowshan Akhter have also been promoted to the post of secretary.
