Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)personnel detained 11people in Moheshpur frontier of Jhenaidahon early Thursday.
They were detained by Khosalpur border outpost (BOP) personnelwhile attempting to enter neighboring Indian territory leaving Bangladesh without legal papers, said the BGB sources.
BGB 58 battalion additional director Mehedi Hasan Khan in a press release quoting the director of the battalion Qamrul Ahsan said the Khosalpur BOP personnel conducted drives at in the bordering upazila in the early morning of Thursday and nabbed 11 Bangladeshi nationals including five women and three children.
BGB sources said neither the male, nor the female could produce any valid papers when they were attempting enter neighboring Indian territory leaving the Bangladesh.
The BGB filed cases with bordering Moheshpur police station and handed the detained to the police station under Bangladesh Passport Act, BGB 58 battalion additional director said.
