A clash broke out between Atiar Rahman Gong and Md Safiuddin centering the installation of an electric pole in Harihanar village of Boalmari’s Gunboha Union in Faridpur on Tuesday.
Md Safiuddin’s college going son Rasel Mia was among the 10 who were injured in the incident.
According to Md Safiuddin, the incident took place after a heated debate broke out between regarding the installation of an electric pole. Under the leadership of Matiar Mia, Atiar Miah, Sufiar Miah and Hemayet Miah 15-20 armed men orchestrated an attack which led to 10 people being injured.
Critically injured Rasel Mia and Shahadat Mia have been admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. Md Safiuddin added that a complaint has been filed about the incident.
Boalmari Thana OC AKM Shamim Hasan confirmed the incident and said that they have not received any written complaint regarding it. He also said that they will take necessary steps if a written complaint is filed.
