At least 10 people were injured in a clashed centering fishing into a pond in Ashulia of Savar on Friday morning. The injured were rushed to several hospitals. Police detained two people over the incident.
The detainees are identified as Abdul Kuddus and Md Sohel of Unail area in Ashulia of Savar.
Abbas Uddin, one of the injured said, “some local influential people led by Hanif attacked us equipped with domestic weapons, when we were fishing from our pond. The attackers were randomly strikes us with sharp weapons. At a moment, Nur Udiin cut of my fingers of two hands.
Later, police and locals come forward and rushed to nearby hospital after rescued.
Kamruzzaman, sub-inspector of Ashulia Police Station confirmed the matter. He said, on information, police rushed to the spot and detained two who involve with the incident. Preparation for further legal action are underway.
