Ten officials from Bangladesh Land Port Authority travelled to India for attending training programme under the ITEC
Ten officials from Bangladesh Land Port Authority are participating in a five-day training programme in India.
The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC) is hosting the programme titled ‘Engineering Excellence: From Blueprint to Border’.
The programme focuses on master planning of smart, green and resilient land ports, said a press release issued by the India embassy in Dhaka.
The event was honoured by the presence of Dr Rajendra Kumar, Secretary (Border Management), GoI and Shri Aditya Mishra, Chairman, LPAI.
In collaboration with School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, the programme brings together 27 participants from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and India.
This diverse group will dive deep into engineering solutions & cross-border infrastructure management, fostering regional cooperation and expertise sharing.
Prior to departure of the officials to India, Deputy High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh, Shri Pawan Badhe interacted with the officials from Bangladesh Land Port Authority at the High Commission of India, Dhaka on 20 October 2024.
The ITEC is the leading capacity building platform of the Ministry Of External Affairs of India.
Under the ITEC, over the last five years, India has provided training programmes to 3000 young Bangladesh officials in various disciplines such as accounts, audit, good governance practices, management, IT, data analytics, renewable energy, etc.
