The Ministry of Education is providing special grants to support 10,246 teachers and students, along with 240 schools and colleges. This initiative is spearheaded by the Secondary and Higher Education Department.
The list of recipients, including teachers, students, and institutions, has been released by the Ministry. The grants will be distributed directly through Nagad, a Mobile Financial Service Provider.
A total of 9,846 students across various educational levels will receive the grants. Specifically, 6,300 students from classes six to ten will each receive TK 8,000. Additionally, 1,866 students from classes 11 and 12 will be granted Tk 9,000 each. For higher education, 1,680 undergraduate and postgraduate students will receive Tk 10,000 each.
In addition to the student grants, 400 teachers and employees will benefit from this initiative, each receiving Tk 30,000 . This allocation amounts to a total of Tk one crore and 2 lakh.
Furthermore, each of the 240 schools and colleges will be awarded Tk 1 lakh, leading to a combined total of Tk 2 crore and 40 lakh for educational institutions.
This substantial financial aid aims to enhance the educational environment by providing direct support to teachers, students, and institutions, ensuring better resources and opportunities for all involved.
