Police have arrested an accused along with 1,030 pieces of yaba tablets from Chattogram Railway Station in a sting operation on Monday night.
The arrested was identified as Mahadev Chandra Barman, 26, son of Subal Chandra Barman of Kapasia upazila in Gazipur district.
Kauser Ahmed of Chattogram Railway Police Station (SI) said a drug dealer with Yaba, was on his way to Dhaka from Chattogram on the west side of the foot over bridge of Railway Station Platform No 3 through secret information at night.

When the accused tried to flee after sensing the presence of the police during the raid, he was chased and arrested. A search of the body turned up 1,030 pieces of yaba from seven rolls wrapped in black and white plastic, sewn to the waist belt of his jeans pants in a special way. A case was filed against the arrested person at Chattogram Railway Police Station.
