Bangladesh registered one death from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am Monday. The total number of deaths rose to 28,061 with one addition to the latest figure.
The current positivity rate rose to 2.16 percent. The overall positivity rate stands at 13.88 percent.
The country recorded 373 new infections in the meantime taking the total number of people infected to 1,586,626, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday.
In addition, the death rate now stands at 1.77 percent in the country. Around 17,271 samples were tested across the country till 8am Monday.
The sole deceased was a woman aged between 51-60 years, added the release.
Some 323 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. A total of 1,546,071 people have recovered from the virus so far and the recovery rate stands at 97.73 percent.
As of Monday, 5,418,823 people died of Covid-19 across the world and 280,410,835 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
