SSC Batch 94 Jhenaidah had arranged a free medical camp for 1,200 poor and disadavantaged people at a Harinakundu high school in Jhenaidah on Saturday.
Assisted by Zahedi Foundation, the day long medical camp was held at Riashkhali high school ground from 9-00 am to 5 pm. Seven reputed physicians from Jhenaidah, Dhaka and some other parts of the country had provided treatment to the patients and supplied drug free of cost. The members of the batch like Asad Ibne Mustafiz Pito, Saifur Rahman Shiplu, Walid Hasan Farid babu, Tanvir Ahmed Roni, Mir Fazle Elahi Shimul, Awal Hossain, Ashraf Uddowllah Masum, Sohel Rana Pintu, Sabur and Azam had extended their cooperation to make the medical camp a success.
The organizers said, about 1,200 people of 20 villages under Daulatpur, Sadhuhati, Kapashatia and Harinakundu municipality were provided the medical services free of cost.
The physicians also examined the blood pressure, diabetes, hypertension and some other acute diseases of the patients and distributed some drugs among the poor patients during the camp, they said.
