Several farm owners of Kishoreganj said they have been rearing sacrificial animals for a year with a view to making good profit. The price of the cattle might be bit higher this year than the previous years as the price of cattle feed and other costs are high this year. They expressed their hope to make a good profit this year. However, the presence of wholesale buyers is less this year so far.

District Livestock Officer Subhash Chandra Pandit said the farmers in 13 upazilas of the district have reared their cattle following natural process. The farmers prepared more sacrificial animals than the demand here. The rest of the animals will go outside the district.
